Not because they don&#8217;t know what they&#8217;re doing but because therapy is not the same to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s important to find a therapist that aligns with what you want to work on most. Movies and TV shows depict it as with someone laying on a chaise lounge while a therapist sits in an oversized chair, scribbling down everything you say.<\/p>\n<p>Therapy nowadays is a little more personal than that. Therapists aren&#8217;t just there to make you feel heard. They&#8217;re there to help you understand why you&#8217;re feeling the way you are.<\/p>\n<p>As your sessions go on, you&#8217;ll become equipped with tools and learning skills that&#8217;ll better prepare you to handle your feelings and thoughts.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a nutshell, it&#8217;s more than just talking with a professional.
